Not ri-KORD (for the noun)
English shifts the stress to tell the noun from the verb. The noun, a record, stresses the first syllable: REK-erd. The verb, to record, stresses the second: ri-KORD. Using the verb stress for the noun sounds wrong to native ears even though every sound is right.
Not REK-ord (for the verb)
The same rule the other way round: when you record something, the weight moves to the end.
